International Women’s Day

February 27, 2008

Celebrated every year on 8th March, International Women’s Day is very much a political time to reflect on the past struggles of women and their fight for equality. It is a global event celebrated in many different ways. Some choose it as a day to raise awareness or to campaign, whereas some choose it as a day to celebrate women.

But even now women are still fighting for equality and to be recognized as equals to their male counterparts ie: wages and discrimination.

No matter what way you want to recognise International Women’s Day. Make it count!
